Uma filmagem com telefone celular postada no YouTube mostra a força do vento e da chuva, que derrubou dois palcos do festival belga, perto da cidade de Hasselt, no começo da manhã desta quinta-feira.
O palco Chateau foi aparentemente destruído quando o mau tempo fez cair três árvores. Um segundo palco desabou, mas acredita-se que não tenha caído sobre frequentadores do concerto. Algumas telas gigantes também vieram ao chão.
O primeiro clipe mostra uma tela balançando sob os fortes ventos, antes de subitamente cair, o vídeo acabando subitamente, quando os que estavam debaixo buscavam abrigo. Clipes posteriores mostram a força dos vendavais por dentro de uma tenda no festival, e também como se via a destruição, após a passagem da tempestade.
Havia relatos diferentes a respeito de mortes, mas o prefeito de Hasselt disse que havia dois mortos e quarenta feridos.

The Chateau stage was apparently destroyed when the bad weather caused trees to fall over. A second stage collapsed but it is not thought to have fallen on any concertgoers. Some giant screens also fell down.
The first clip appears show one such screen swaying in the heavy winds before suddenly starting to drop, the video coming to an abrupt end as those beneath turn for cover. Later clips show the force of the gales from within a tent at the festival as well as the destruction visible once the storm had passed.
There were varying reports of casualties, but the mayor of Hasselt said two were killed and 40 injured.
