UFO over São Paulo? / Um OVNI sobre São Paulo?

Este video, exibido na TV G1, mostra imagens borradas de um objeto em formato de disco pairando entre nuvens por cerca de um minuto – antes de desaparecer em um brilhante flash seguido de uma trilha de explosões coloridas.

A TV informou que o clipe foi feito por dois motiristas que viram o objeto quando dirigiam próximo à cidade de Agudos, Estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Eles saltaram do carro para filmar com sua câmera portátil.

Segundo a TV, os cinegrafistas disseram que a Terra tremeu no momento em que o objeto voador não identificado desapareceu numa explosão de luzes. No entanto, o Serviço de Pesquisas Geológicas dos Estados Unidos não registrou nenhuma atividade sísmica recente na área.

O especialista em edição de vídeos Philip Cavaca expressou dúvidas sobre a autenticidade de filmagem. Ele disse ao G1 que o vídeo era uma montagem bem feita – mas uma farsa, apesar de tudo.

"Ele pode ser visto em um quadro," disse ele à TV. "Quando o caminhão passa, pode-se dizer que o UFO se moveu, o que é imperceptível a olho nu," disse. Segundo Cavaca, ao congelar a  imagem é possível ver o quadro exato em que o "UFO" se altera.

The video, shown on Brazilian TV station G1, shows blurry images of a disc-shaped object hovering in the clouds for a minute or so – before disappearing in a bright flash followed by a trail of colourful bursts. The television station explained the clip originated from two motorists who saw the object as they were driving near the town of Agudos in Sao Paulo state.

They hopped out of the car to shoot the video with their hand-held camera. According to the TV station, the cinematographers reported the earth shaking at the same time the unidentified flying object vanished in a blast of light.


However, the US Geological Survey has recorded no recent seismic activity in the area. Video-editing expert Philip Cavaca voiced further doubts over the authenticity of the footage.

He told G1 that the film was a well-made montage – but a hoax nonetheless. "It can be seen in one frame," he told the station. "When the truck goes by, you can tell that the UFO was moved, which is unnoticeable to the naked eye," he said.

According to Cavaca, by freezing the image you can see the exact frame in which the "UFO" alters.
