O esplêndido festival de luzes foi produzido por Tommy Eliassen, que ateou fogo à fibra e a balançou tão rápido quanto possível.
Ele colocou sua câmera num tripé e a configurou para uma longa exposição. Ele disse: "Fiz algumas tentativas, até que finalmente deu certo. O problema foi a exposição, foi difícil conseguir manter a lã de aço e as Luzes do Norte na exposição exata."
Sparks fly in these dramatic photographs capturing an artist swinging burning steel wool above his head, while the Northern lights - or aurora borealis - appear in the sky behind him in Mo i Rana, Norway.
The stunning light show was produced by Tommy Eliassen, who set fire to the fibre and swung it around as fast as possible. He placed his camera on a tripod and sets it to a long exposure.
He said: "It took me a few attempts but eventually I got it right. The problem was the exposure, it was difficult getting the steel wool and the Northern lights exposed just right."
