Isso deveria ser uma foto de árvores ante um Sol poente. Às vezes, no entanto, o inesperado pode ser fotogênico. Durante algumas fotos do planejamento,desta composição um homem passeando com seu cachorro cruzou inesperadamente um cume.
O resultado foi tão impressionante que, após recortes, ela se tornou a foto principal. O motivo pelo qual o Sol parece tão grande é o fato de a foto ter sido tirada à distância de, aproximadamente, um quilômetro, através de uma lente telescópica.
A difusão da luz azul pela atmosfera da Terra faz com que a parte inferior do Sol pareça ligeiramente mais avermelhada do que o seu topo. Além disso, se você olhar atentamente para o Sol, logo acima da cabeça do homem, há um grande grupo de manchas solares visível. A foto foi tirada na semana passada em Bad Mergentheim, Alemanha.

This was supposed to be a shot of trees in front of a setting Sun. Sometimes, though, the unexpected can be photogenic. During some planning shots, a man walking his dog unexpected crossed the ridge.
The result was so striking that, after cropping, it became the main shot. The reason the Sun appears so large is that the image was taken from about a kilometer away through a telephoto lens.
Scattering of blue light by the Earth's atmosphere makes the bottom of the Sun appear slightly more red that the top. Also, if you look closely at the Sun, just above the man's head, a large group of sunspots is visible. The image was taken just last week in Bad Mergentheim, Germany.
