O que é aquilo no céu? Embora haja muito o que ver neste espetacular panorama fotografado durante as primeiras horas da manhã de um dia no final de setembro, o objeto mais brilhante no céu era claramente o planeta Vênus. Nesta imagem, Vênus foi fotografado, na verdade, através de uma ponte natural de pedra, pitoresca por si só, em Spitzkoppe, Namíbia.
O planeta, à esquerda da abertura, estava complementado pela silhueta de um astrofotógrafo, à direita. Acima e além da ponte de pedra havia vários famosos ícones do céu noturno escuro, inclusive, da esquerda para a direita, o aglomerado estelar das Plêiades, a Nebulosa de Orion, a brilhante estrela Síria, e a Pequena e a Grande Nuvem de Magalhães.
Nesta semana, Vênus permenece visível a leste no céu pré-alvorecer, sendo complementado por Marte, que está angularmente muito próximo.

What's that in the sky? Although there was much to see in this spectacular panorama taken during the early morning hours of a day in late September, the brightest object in the sky was clearly the planet Venus. In the featured image, Venus was captured actually through a natural rock bridge, itself picturesque, in Spitzkoppe, Namibia.
The planet, on the left of the opening, was complemented by a silhouette of the astrophotographer on the right. Above and beyond the rock bridge were many famous icons of a dark night sky, including, from left to right, the Pleiades star cluster, the Orion Nebula, the bright star Sirius, and the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds.
Nesta semana, Vênus permanece visível ao leste no céu pré-alvorecer, sendo complementado por Marte, que está angularmente bastante próximo.
