Raios-X revelaram que, embora as barras tenham passado pelo peito do homem, elas não acertaram nenhuma das maiores artérias e órgãos. Os bombeiros ajudaram a cortar as barras enquanto o homem estava na mesa de operação. Ele agora se recupera sem perigo de vida.
A Chinese builder is luckily to be alive after two thick steel bars pierced through his body after an accident in Dalian, northeast China's Liaoning Province.
He was working on a construction lot when, it is believed, he fell onto two upright steel bars, which penetrated through his body from his back to his chest.
Firefighers cut him free and he was rushed to hospital, still with some 10cm of bar protruding from his body. X-rays revealed that, although the bars passed through the man's chest, they had missed all the major arteries and organs. Firefighters helped to cut through the bars while the man was on the operating table. He is now recovering and out of danger.
