Albino catfish / Bagre albino

Este gigantesco peixe foi pego por um pescador britânico, garantindo-lhe um lugar no Livro de Recordes. O gigante, capturado por Chris Grimmer, é o maior bagre comum já pescado.

O monstro de 8,5 metros pesa 88 kg - 0,9 kg mais do que o anteriormente maior, pescado pela pescadora cega Shelia Penfold, ano passado. Chris passou 30 minutos tentando puxar na linha o bagre branco após ele morder a isca.

Ele e três companheiros tinham estado numa viagem de pescaria de uma semana no Rio Ebro, perto de Barcelona, Espanha, quando ele capturou o bagre recordista.

O peixe albino foi devolvido à água emsegurança e bem após ter sido pego. O maior bagre já pescado no mundo é um estonteante Bagre Gigante do Mekong de 293 kg, pego na Tailândia em 2005.

This giant fish has netted a British angler a place in the record books. The whopper, caught by Chris Grimmer, is the biggest albino catfish ever caught by an angler.

The 8ft beast tipped the scales at 194lbs - 2lbs heavier than the previous best caught by blind angler Shelia Penfold last year. Chris spent 30 minutes trying to reel in the white catfish after it took his bait.

He and three pals had been on a week's fishing trip to the River Ebro, near Barcelona, Spain, when he snared the record catfish.

The albino fish was returned to the water safe and well after being caught. The biggest catfish ever caught in the world is a staggering 646lb - or 46 stone - Giant Mekong Catfish caught in Thailand in 2005.
