A ISS em frente ao Sol

• A foto, feita com filtro de luz, mostra o Sol, e uma mancha na parte inferior esquerda. Não é uma mancha solar, mas, sim a Estação Espacial Internacional (ISS), flagrada por acaso passando em frente ao Sol.
  A ISS é um doa miores e mais sofisticados mecanismos criados pela ciência (embora o LHC, o Grande Colisor de Hádrons, ainda não inaugurado, seja bem maior e também muito sofisticado).

A ISS completa uma volta à terra a cada 90 minutos. Manchas solares verdadeiras são raras neste chamado "Solar Minimum", um período de baixa atividade solar.

That's no sunspot. It's the International Space Station (ISS) caught by chance passing in front of the Sun.

By contrast, the ISS is a complex and multi-spired mechanism, one of the largest and most sophisticated machines ever created by humanity. Transiting the Sun is not very unusual for the ISS, which orbits the Earth about every 90 minutes.

Sunspots have been rare on the Sun since the dawn of the current Solar Minimum, a period of low solar activity.
