Summer to Winter Milky Way | Do verão ao inverno na Via Lactea

Tirada proximo à meia noite local, esta foto panoramica outonal noturna acompanha o arco da Via Lactea através do horizonte norte de High Fens, Eifel Nature Park, na fronteira da Belgica com a Alemanha. 

Passeie o olhar pelas terras alagadas de oeste para leste (esquerda para a direita) e voce poderá observar estrelas outrora mais destacadas no verão do norte darem lugar àquelas que em breve irão dominar as noites do céu do norte. 

O vagante Marte poente é o ponto mais brilhante à extrema esquerda, ainda brilhando contra quase todas as ofuscantes luzes de cidades ao longo do horizonte sudoeste. As brilhantes estrelas Altair, Deneb e Vega formam o triangulo de verão no ceu do norte, straddling a Via Lactea Milky Way à esquerda do centro. Parte do  hexagono de inverno da Capela e Aldebaran, junto com o belo aglomerado estelar das Pleiades, brilha através do céu do nordeste. 

A linha de visão ao longo da passarela dos  caminhantes leva quase diretamente em direção à Grande Concha, um asterismo de estação inteira dessas latitudes do norte. 

Siga as estrelas indicadoras da Grande Concha até Polaris e o polo norte celestial quase centralizado acima dela. Andromeda, a outra grande galaxia na paisagem celeste, está proxima ao topo do quadro.

Taken near local midnight, this autumn night's panorama follows the arch of the Milky Way across the northern horizon from the High Fens, Eifel Nature Park at the border of Belgium and Germany. 

Shift your gaze across the wetlands from west to east (left to right) and you can watch stars once more prominent in northern summer give way to those that will soon dominate northern winter nights. 

Setting, wanderer Mars is brightest at the far left, still shinning against almost overwhelming city lights along the southwestern horizon. Bright stars Altair, Deneb, and Vega form the northern sky's summer triangle, straddling the Milky Way left of center. Part of the winter hexagon Capella and Aldebaran, along with the beautiful Pleiades star cluster shine across the northeastern sky. 

The line-of-sight along the hikers boardwalk leads almost directly toward the Big Dipper, an all season asterism from these northern latitudes. 

Follow the Big Dipper's pointer stars to Polaris and the north celestial pole nearly centered above it. Andromeda, the other large galaxy in the skyscape, is near the top of the frame.
