Abóbora solar / Sun Pumpkin
Esta foto da chromosfera solar - a "atmosfera " odo Sol - foi tirada pelo astrofotógrafo amador americano Alan Friedman. Convenientemente intitulada "Não a Grade Abóbora" a imagem em super resolução mostra manchas solares, gigantes células de convecção e gás que seguem loops magnéticos perfurando a superfície do Sol.
