Blue Moon Tree | Arvore em Lua Azul

Será que um alinhamento como este ocorre somente uma vez numa Lua Azul? Não, embora tenha sido durante uma Lua Azul que essa imagem de apenas um quadro foi registrada. Durante uma Lua cheia que calhou de ser a segunda do mes — a situação que define uma Lua Azul —  o fotografo criou a sobreposição no final de janeiro,  rapidamente movendo-se ao redor dela apenas para encontrar o local certo para pegar a Lua no plano de fundo superposta atrás do arco de uma arvore em primeiro plano. 

Infelizmente, neste caso, parece não ter havido alternativa, senão atolar-se na lama e apoiar a camera sobre uma cerca de arame farpado. O arco na arvore de carvalho foi previamente criado por vacas famintas em Knight's Ferry, California, EUA. Quirky Moon-tree; no entanto, sobreposições como esta podem ser  criadas durante qualquer Lua cheia, havendo suficiete planejamento e tempo. 

Outra oportunidade surgiu neste fim de semana, coincidentemente durante outra Lua Azul. Então a segunda Lua Azul de 2018 ocorreu, o que significa que, pela segunda vez neste ano, duas Luas cheias irão aparecer durante um único mes. Anos com duas Lua Azuis são relativamente raros, tendo o ultimo ocorrido em 1999, e o proximo será somente em 2037.

Does an alignment like this occur only once in a blue moon? No, although it was during a blue moon that this single-shot image was taken. During a full moon that happened to be the second of the month -- the situation that defines a blue moon -- the photographer created the juxtaposition in late January by quickly moving around to find just the right spot to get the background Moon superposed behind the arc of a foreground tree. 

Unfortunately, in this case, there seemed no other way than getting bogged down in mud and resting the camera on a barbed-wire fence. The arc in the oak tree was previously created by hungry cows in Knight's Ferry, California, USA. Quirky Moon-tree juxtapositions like this can be created during any full moon though, given enough planning and time. 

Another opportunity will arise this weekend, coincidently during another blue moon. Then, the second blue moon in 2018 will occur, meaning that for the second month this year, two full moons will appear during a single month (moon-th). Double blue-moon years are relatively rare, with the last occurring in 1999, and the next in 2037.
