A face escura do Cosmos

Our universe contains many mysteries, and now there is a new one. Scientists are baffled to find that the cosmos is darker than they thought. According to a study, 80 per cent of the light in the part of the galaxy nearest Earth is missing. The reason for the shortage is complex, but it has something to do with hydrogen tendrils and a crisis involving the underproduction of photons. There seems to be a mismatch between the amount of energy and the amount of light.
What can all this mean? And where does it leave our understanding of the familiar creation story in the book of Genesis? God said let there be light, and there was light. Are we entering a new dark age?
