CN Tower

Este é momento em que um raio atinge a Torre CN, durante uma tempestade espetacular, no Canadá. A Torre CN é a mais alta estrutura do Ocidente, e é atingida por raios, em média, 75 vezes ao ano.

Mas esse número poderá aumentar um tanto, após raios tererem repetidamente atingido a torre durante essa intensa e violenta tempestade, quando cerca de 1.000 relâmpagos foram vistos na cidade, a cada dois minutos. A imagem do raio foi captada por Richard Gottardo.

This is the moment a bolt of lightning hit the CN Tower during a spectacular thunderstorm in Canada. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere and is struck by lightning an average of 75 times per year.

 But that number might be quite a bit higher after lightning repeatedly hit the tower during this ferocious storm which saw around 1,000 lightning strikes in the city every two minutes. The striking image was captured by Richard Gottardo.
