As Ilhas Havaianas ficam no Pacífico Norte, – a ilhas maiores, no leste são provavelmente mais conhecidas, mas há, na verdade, oito ilhas maiores, além de muitas menores e inúmeros atóis.

Embora o Havaí seja um Estado americano, a cadeia de ilhas está localizada a 1.860 milhas do continente mais próximo. As ilhas são a parte exposta de picos vulcânicos, uma cadeia montanhosa submarina.

The Hawaiian islands are in the north Pacific – the larger, eastern islands are probably more well-known, but there are actually eight major islands, as well as many smaller islands and several atolls.

Though Hawaii is a US state, the island chain is actually located 1,860 miles from the nearest continent. The islands are the exposed peaks of a volcanic, undersea mountain range.
