Conjunção ao pôr-do-sol | Conjunction at Sunset

Uma adorável conjunção de astros enfeitou o céu ao pôr-do-sol. 

Fotografada em 26 de dezembro, a conjunção da Lua com Vênus combinada às cores de um lindo entardecer encantou as pessoas que estavam no Lago Viverone, perto de Turim, Itália. 

Mas quem esteve ao ar livre nos entardeceres recentes com tempo bom provavelmente se acostumou a ver Vênus bem baixo na porção oeste do céu, como a estrela mais brilhante da estação. 

Às vezes confundido com alguma luz no horizonte terrestre, Vênus é o terceiro corpo celeste mais brilhante, depois do Sol e da Lua. Essa característica é especialmente apreciável neste cenário tranquilo da foto.

But if you've been outdoors at all lately enjoying sunsets on planet Earth, then you've probably noticed Venus low in the west as the season's brilliant evening star. 

Sometimes mistaken for a terrestrial light near the horizon, Venus is the third brightest celestial beacon, after the Sun and Moon. That distinction is particularly easy to appreciate in this peaceful scene.
