A policia britânica lançou uma campanha para identificar e capturar o homem visto neste vídeo girando no ar um gato preso pelo rabo no exterior do pub Camden Arms, em Ramsgate, Kent.
O gato, de dois anos, chamado Mogli, acabou conseguindo fugir e voltou para casa em "estado bastante angustiado". Michelle Buchanan, dona do gato, disse que seu bichano ficara com sequelas mentais por conta do incidente.
"Ele não está ferido só fisicamente, mas psicologicamente. Desde o episódio, quando ele finalmente voltou para casa, nunca mais saiu," disse ela.
E acrescentou: "Eu não consigo acreditar que alguém possa ser tão cruel ao ponto de ferir qualquer animal. É mesmo muito triste que alguém tenha prazer em fazer isso."
"O senhorio reconheceu Mogli na filmagem feita pela câmera de vigilância, e o gato voltou para casa depois, muito angustiado, e nunca mais saiu de lá.
Police have launched an appeal to catch the man seen swinging the animal round outside the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgate, Kent.
The two-year-old cat called Mowgli eventually managed to run away and returned to its home in a "very distressed state".
Michelle Buchanan, who owns the cat, said her pet had been left mentally scarred by the incident.
"He's not physically injured but he is mentally. Ever since the incident happened, when he eventually came home, he's never gone back outside," she said.
She added: "I can't believe anybody could be so cruel as to harm any sort of animal. It's just really sad that somebody found pleasure out of doing that."
The landlord recognised Mowgli on the CCTV and he later came home in a very distressed state and has not left the flat since. His owner is too upset to view the footage herself, she feels it would be too distressing.
