An ordinary scene in Afghan war: a firefight in the Korengal Valley in eastern Afghanistan. American forces had occupied a strategic mountaintop when they were fired upon by Taliban fighters. No Americans were wounded in the fight and Taliban casualties were unknown. Not withstanding, the risk of injury is very high. From the top of those mountains, snipers can easily trap troops, giving them no chance at all.

Forças americanas ocuparam um topo de montanha estratégico quando estavam sob fogo de combatentes talebans, mas não houve baixas do lado americano, e do lado taleban não se sabe. No entanto, o risco de morte ou ferimentos é alto. Do topo daquelas montanhas um franco-atirador pode facilmente criar um cilada para as tropas, sem chance de se safar.
